Online purchasing used to be so simple, even for those ‘hard to get’ items where there was competition. If you got the release date right and made sure you were ready and primed then you’d rarely fail to make your purchase. Those days are long gone and now it’s a surprise if you manage to grab those tickets or sneakers if you’re relying simply on your internet service provider and a computer. Unfortunately the game has changed and even a small bit of research about bot access and sneaker sites will reveal the huge changes in these markets.
The very idea of finding the best proxy servers for your bots to help you jump the queue seemed completely irrelevant. Now automated purchasing and residential proxy providers are an essential part of any commercial online purchasing especially for ‘high demand items’ in short supply.
In those simpler days in order to grab something limited like a sneaker release or the biggest concert tickets there were only a few prerequisites. For the highest success rates you just needed to make sure you had a stable and fast internet connection, some peace and quiet and relatively quick fingers. As long as you were organised and sitting at your computer or laptop (not phones the connection is too unreliable), you were pretty much guaranteed to get what you wanted. However this isn’t the case any more, you can get to the add to cart screen in seconds and still find the dreaded sold out sign.
Of course what usually happens is something more frustrating, the screen hangs, your web sessions closes or just sits there waiting while everyone fills their boots! So why is it suddenly so difficult to get high demand limited available items? Well it’s because you’re no longer competing against other human beings, you’re fighting the bots! Every high demand item that’s available online is normally the target of specific automated software – software programs designed to mimic customers using these online retail sites but quickly! It’s happening more and more in 2021, the latest was when the latest Xbox and Playstation consoles were all hoovered up by the Bots just before Christmas. These Bots were available at very low costs and the profits were huge reselling the Series X at multiples of two or three times the release price.
There are a few sites which carry dozens of programs designed for different platforms. This software is designed with a single purpose usually to buy multiple pairs or as much as possible of the item. These are generally referred to as Bots, software designed specifically to purchase specific items quickly. For example, there are versions for all the major sneaker sites designed to simply to grab all the best limited edition sneakers before you can get near them!
You might have also realized that you don’t stand a chance competing manually with this software. It will be pre-configured with all the details needed, ready to reach the checkout and automatically pay before you’ve had chance to dig out your credit cards. The best sneaker bots for example can complete a dozen transactions before a ‘human’ has completed a single purchase. As long as they’re using sneaker proxies to hide their identity, mimic the user experience then they’ll simply look like different customers and won’t get banned by the sites.
Why Do People Use Software like Sneaker Bots?
It’s simple really, if you want to maximise your chances of getting any of these hard to buy items then using software to automate the buying process makes sense. There are sneaker bots for the sneaker sites like Supreme, Adidas and Nike, Bots for Ticket companies like Ticketmaster and a host of others. Most are very easy to use, and although they can cost a bit – this is normally easily recouped by buying a few extra and selling on for a profit. A couple of pairs of the high demand sneaker releases like the latest Air Jordan will return serious profits. You can even buy these shoe bots which support lots of platforms and retailer sites (e.g. foot locker, supreme) like the famous All in One Bot (AIO).
Many people for example will buy 4 tickets for the big concerts using a Ticketmaster Bot – use two and sell the others at small profit. It’s not complicated and there’s plenty of places to sell the ticket safely using Paypal or an Escrow service. You should remember though that most of these companies don’t like Bots and actively try to prevent them working so, you’ll have to be careful which you choose and there’s something else to consider.
Best Proxies for Bots – Botting for Adidas, Nike, Ticketmaster etc
The other big market is sneaker proxies (sometimes called shoe proxies), those designed to target the sneaker sites. Often these will be used directly with automated software called sneaker bots but can also be used manually through your browser too. These sneaker proxy providers for example will focus their proxy network to copping sneakers. Their proxies will run on a sneaker server located near the web sites of the retailers.
Indeed most of the most successful people often use both methods, they’ll run their sneaker bot on automated mode for standard drops. At this level the success percentage is not quite as important because the unit price is lower. However for the high value drops they’ll often forget about the sneaker bots and run it manually or using simple macros to speed the process up slightly. This dual approach is detailed online in many of the best cook group forums and can actually work very well to buy multiple pairs, especially if you don’t entirely trust your sneaker bots with those rare limited edition sneakers. There’s a huge variety of options really from just picking up a few Air Max for selling on to creating a huge secondary market. What’s more it’s not hard to make a reasonable living and it’s not as complicated as it may first appear.
The process actually works the same for virtually all the ecommerce sites. The software in a sneaker bot is very similar to those targeting other platforms. The cost usually depends on the complexity of accessing the site. Many of the sneaker bots need to be continually updated to continue working with the most popular sneaker sites.
The main method that the companies use to detect and block these Bots is by checking the IP address of each connection. For example if you’re using a Bot to try and buy twenty tickets or some limited edition sneakers then you won’t be allowed to do this from a single connection. The first one might work but after that IP blocks will be triggered whether you’re trying manually or through a shoe Bot. What’s worse your payment method may be flagged too, so your credit card may be limited as well.
Also as well as checking the type of IP – whether it’s a data center one or from true residential proxies there’s also the question of location. If you’re trying to buy tickets for a concert in New York from a Russian IP then you’re likely to get banned very quickly. To use bots properly and safely, and certainly if you’re trying to buy a lot of something then you need to use multiple proxies too.
Proxy servers can hide your location from the website you’re visiting. You can use them to control multiple identities (and make multiple purchases) by switching IP address automatically. Most Bots will happily facilitate this automatically by using the proxies you input into them. It should be noted though that even if you are using software, if you’re only buying the allowed units then you really don’t need to change your network address. The only exception to this is if you’re buying from a foreign country, when it would be advisable to hide your true location. If you’re trying to buy for profit then using private proxies is pretty much essential. You can find lots online marketed as Nike proxies, Dc proxies and so on – but in reality you need reliable residential proxies to succeed.
Using Proxies for Your Ticket or Sneaker Bot
The right proxies to use for your Bots and sneaker copping exploits are largely dependent on what you’re purchasing. However there are some general rules you can follow easily –
Location: Always choose proxies that are suitable for your target purchase and ideally are located nearby. You are more likely to get a US based product and a much low ban rate if you use USA proxies. Your location and Time Zone should ideally raise no suspicion, so don’t use a Nigerian proxy!
Speed: Many items sell out very quickly after release . One of the main aspects of using software is to make the purchase as quickly as possible, a slow cheap proxy will completely destroy that advantage. A high speed, dedicated proxy server is a huge advantage for anything from tennis shoes to tickets. It’s particularly important when you’re buying high demand items – sneaker proxies for example need to be quick!
Proxy Numbers: This is only relevant if you’re going into this big time and want to maximise your copping power!. If you’re looking to buy big to sell and make huge profits, then you’re going to need more proxies. Having a few proxies enables your Bot to switch automatically and make multiple connections and purchase products quickly and easily. Look to get between ten and twenty five but scale up if you’re pushing these limits. These also should be in the same address ranges as you can get entire subnet bans in many cases.
Classification: Generally you can buy two sorts of proxies – datacenter or a residential proxy. Unfortunately the datacenter ones will usually raise red flags with any Ecommerce site, simply because they’re rarely used by normal customers. Residential proxies appear to be standard users and are much more successful when buying products or using social networks. Unfortunately they are slightly more expensive but in reality make you much more likely to succeed.
Dedicated: Proxies which share addresses among hundreds of users are not going to work. They’ll inevitably be banned or blocked. You must have exclusive access to each IP address while you’re using it to achieve any reasonable success rate. Finding a service with rotating or backconnect proxies can make this more affordable.
Using a Good Paid Proxy Service is the Key to Success
So just to summarise, ideally you’re looking for a few fast, dedicated proxy servers located near to your target market with residential IP addresses. It’s difficult to specify generic requirements – there are no ‘perfect sneaker proxies’ which work for every sneaker bot for example. Mostly they will need to be residential proxies of some sort basically because you’ll need to look like a residential/home user. Many people still try and use a proxy server using datacenter addresses. However datacenter proxies are rarely used nowadays with much success. Most of the sneaker proxies that work are either residential proxies or use mobile gateway addresses.
The requirements do vary depending on what you’re buying, it’s best to check with the proxy provider who will normally have good knowledge of what works for what. Indeed some providers configure specific servers for each task – so you can buy shoe proxies for example. These will be designed and located to be the best proxy service for buying sneakers for example.
One’s thing for certain, you won’t find a list of decent free proxies for bots or any of these sort of tasks, don’t risk your accounts by trying them.
The best providers will have some reserved for specialist tasks, so you’ll find Adidas proxies or for other applications. In fact specialized servers like sneaker proxies are normally the safest option. Use their experience, for instance just ask what are the best proxies for Adidas, Aio bot, an Instagram bot , Ticketmaster or any sneaker bot and they should be able to guide you.
The key to these proxy services which are designed for specific applications is that they should be guaranteed for that purpose. So the servers should be located close to the desired web servers, the IP addresses are free of blocks and they are not being used for other purposes. This makes it easier for the proxy companies to ensure that each address is open and working for those specific purposes. It’s almost impossible to do this for ‘general residential proxies’ simply because there are so many possible uses.
Specialized Proxies Work Best – If You Find Ones That Work
Only use these services for their specified purposes, don’t use footsite proxies for posting on Craigslist for example as there is no guarantee that they’ll work.
Our recommendation is one of the oldest and most respected supplied of all sorts of proxies, who also often provide trial accounts for most of their plans so you can test them first.
There are some other great proxy providers though, and it’s normally best to try and develop relationships with a few suppliers of the different types of proxies. A little market research and you’ll find the best ones to use currently. There are even some providers who don’t have websites and just advertise they’re sneaker proxies directly on social media – Twitter is commonly used.
If you need a wide range of proxies for different purposes and don’t want to use lots of companies then there’s only one real option. Bright Data (previously Luminati) has the largest network of proxies in the world, primarily focused on residential proxies. Their weakness used to be the lack of any dedicated static IP addresses, but they’ve recently added these to their site. Many people will use these as their sole source of sneaker proxies as they’re proven but you’ll pay per bandwidth used so they can be more expensive. You therefore have to be careful before loading these into a sneaker bot and leaving them running !

Private Residential proxy with ideally one IP per Instagram account. You could try rotating proxies depending on how aggressive your promotions are. For lots of accounts probably cheaper to go with mobile addresses/proxies as you can use many more accounts safely on each IP.
Hi I sometimes need to send a lot of traffic through my proxies. Basically posting images and uploading videos through Bots to my social media accounts.
Are there any bandwidth limits on Storm Proxies plans?
Hi Glenn, No currently there’s no bandwidth limits on any of Storm Proxies plans. It’s not something I entirely agree with simply because it leaves the proxies open to abuse. However if you use Bots with platforms like Instagram it’s pretty much essential. Generally though if speed is more important I’d look at providers who do limit bandwidth through their proxies.
Interesting post. Though I don’t use any software or Bots. Could you tell me what proxies are best for managing my three Instagram accounts safely.
I will do this mainly from my phone. THanks
Hi Archie, You don’t need to use proxies for that many accounts especially if you’re using your phone. Anything under 5 is fine with Instagram currently.
I’d ask the bot creators for their recommendations. I managed to cop multiple pairs from Supreme for a really rare drop using the snkrs proxies they recommended – they were really reasonable in price too. Problem is that so many companies work with addresses on same subnet and load them onto their proxy plans with no testing. The Bot owners generally use their own Bots too so will know which works for which drops, changes a lot especially on the various shopify sites,
I’ve tried all sorts and could never figure out how many proxies to use for most of the sneaker bots. I’ve tried many companies and found that Storm and IPburger work best for the shoe sites I use regularly. You’ll need proxies for most bot tasks nowadays and they need to have a decent size IP pool. One thing you didn’t mention is that many shared proxies rotate the addresses, that can cause problems if it happens in the middle of checking out. Some companies have sticky IPs or ensure that they keep one IP address per connection and only rotate after.
Hi I think I need some proxies for a tool I’m trying to use. It’s called soleslayer I want to use it to buy some sneakers. Do you think data center proxies would work for this – or do I need proper footsites proxies instead? thanks jen
Hi Jenny, using soleslayer is a great move it’s one of the best sneaker bot programs you can buy. As far as proxies go, I’d stay away from the data center ones they generally don’t work with the bigger sneaker websites like Supreme, Nike etc. I’ve found the best sneaker proxies for Soleslayer are from IpBurger use the footsite proxies.
